Gage Shepard was born and raised in central Illinois, where his grandfather introduced him to hunting and fishing at a young age—an experience that sparked a lifelong passion for the outdoors. This enthusiasm led Gage to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology and Conservation from Southern Illinois University. During his time in southern Illinois, he developed a deep appreciation for the region’s natural beauty, particularly its public land hunting opportunities. Over the years, Gage has hunted a wide variety of properties on both public and private lands, honing his skills and building an impressive track record that includes harvesting multiple world-class whitetails.
While bow hunting for deer remains his greatest passion, Gage’s education has given him a comprehensive understanding of the interconnectedness of our natural world. A true conservationist, he values the importance of land management and habitat restoration to benefit a wide range of wildlife species. Gage’s experience spans diverse habitat types, from wetlands to prairies, and he is well-versed in government programs available to landowners. Additionally, he has cultivated a network of biologists to further enhance his knowledge and expertise.
As an aspiring landowner himself, Gage understands the significance of investing in land and the vital role private landowners play in being responsible stewards of the environment. He is excited to combine his education, field experience, and passion for the outdoors to help clients find their perfect property.
